| Pauleta's been the guy for the last hundred years, but now they gotta find someone else. Nuno Gomes is almost as old as Pauleta, after that I guess it goes to Postiga and Boa Morte, who is not exactly a natural center forward . I'd take any of them in the Canadian team tomorrow, but for a team like Portugal who aspires to winning the Euro championship, I find any of them lacks a bit.
They got plenty of wingers though. Ronaldo, Nani, Quaresma, Simao among others.
What about Almeida in the german league? is he any good? |

portugal is a tricky team.. they've got amazing midfielders.. but absolutely no one up front.
its a weird situation... but somehow they manage to pull off wins
well. not against italy... italy beat them fair and square |

| Agreed on Portugal, with Pauleta up front, who ain't no Pele, they made it to last Euro's final and last WC semi, which shows that they might not really need a top striker.
I also agree with you that they Italy should beat them with Portugal's current squad. |
